Bovine Serum Albumin Powder | BSA Pro
An Excellent Alternative to Existing BSA Products
BSA Pro
Our Bovine Serum Albumin product, BSA Pro, is competitively priced and offers safety, stability, high quality, and sustainability.
BSA Pro serves as an excellent alternative to existing BSA products, utilized across various cell culture and biotech applications. BSA Pro offers increased homogeneity for precise analyses and is convenient to transport and store as a powder.
Product Information
DESCRIPTION:
Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) Pro has been developed by New Life Biologies LLC to serve as an alternative to many of the BSAs currently on the market. It is produced to the highest quality standards with non-detectable levels of any processing agents. It is highly monomeric thus providing for many options in use and downstream operations. It is manufactured using a proprietary process.
APPLICATIONS:
BSA Pro is intended for use in any application where existing standard grade pH 7.0 BSA is used. It can be used extensively as a blocking agent in diagnostic test kits and as a stabilizer in other applications. The highly monomeric profile of BSA Pro allows it to be used where many other BSAs struggle due to extensive molecular cross-linking and/or fragmentation.
Cell Culture
Protein stabilizer:
Prevents proteins from denaturing and aggregating.
Protein carrier:
Facilitates the transport of hydrophobic molecules across cell membranes.
Media supplement:
Provides essential nutrients for cell growth and proliferation.

FAQs
- BSA serves as a blocking agent in immunohistochemistry and Western blotting to prevent nonspecific binding of antibodies.
- It’s a carrier protein for hydrophobic molecules, enhancing their solubility and stability in aqueous solutions.
- BSA can also be used as a protein standard in assays like Bradford and Lowry protein assays.
- BSA is relatively inexpensive and readily available.
- It has a low immunogenicity, minimizing background noise in assays.
- BSA is stable and can be stored for extended periods.
Stability: Powdered BSA is generally more stable than liquid BSA, especially when stored under proper conditions. It is less susceptible to degradation due to microbial contamination or hydrolysis.
Convenience: Powdered BSA can be easily stored and transported without the need for refrigeration. This makes it more convenient for researchers and laboratories with limited storage space.
Customization: Powdered BSA can be easily customized by adding specific additives or modifying its concentration to suit the needs of a particular experiment.
